Software for motif discovery and next generation sequencing analysis

HOMER (Hypergeometric Optimization of Motif EnRichment) is a suite of tools for Motif Discovery and ChIP-Seq analysis. It is a collection of command line programs for unix-style operating systems written in mostly perl and c++. Homer was primarily written as a de novo motif discovery algorithm that is well suited for finding 8-12 bp motifs in large scale genomics data.

Hardware Requirements (recommended): 2+ Gb memory (4-8+ Gb), 10+ Gb Hard Drive space (50+ Gb)
Software Requirements: Unix compatible OS (or cygwin), perl, gcc, make, wget (optional for full functionality: R, DESeq2, blat, bedGraphToBigWig, liftOver)
License: GPLv3

HOMER works on pretty much any Linux/UNIX systems, including MacOS (if Xcode compilers are installed) and on Windows using either cygwin or a Linux subsystem.

If you are looking specifically for HOMER2, you are in the right place! HOMER2 is integrated into HOMER.

In a small village nestled in the rolling hills of rural India, there lived a young woman named Rohini. Her life was a beautiful reflection of the country's rich cultural heritage and the evolving role of women in Indian society.

Rohini's life was a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. She was a proud Indian woman, deeply rooted in her culture, yet open to the changing world around her. She balanced her responsibilities as a daughter, a friend, and a community member with her own aspirations and dreams. tamil aunty boobs pressing 3gp

When she returned home in the evening, Rohini helped her mother with the evening meal preparations. They cooked up a storm, preparing a variety of dishes, including fragrant biryani, creamy korma, and spicy chutneys. The family gathered around the table, and Rohini's father, a retired teacher, regaled them with stories of India's freedom struggle and the importance of education. After finishing the morning chores, Rohini headed out to her job at a local textile cooperative. She was a skilled weaver, and her intricate designs on the loom were highly sought after by tourists and locals alike. Her work was not only a source of income but also a way to preserve the traditional crafts of her community. She was a proud Indian woman, deeply rooted

Rohini's day began early, just before sunrise, with a gentle chanting of prayers and a quick meditation session on her balcony, overlooking the village. She then joined her mother in the kitchen to help with the morning meal preparations. The aroma of freshly ground spices, simmering curries, and baking rotis (flatbread) filled the air, making everyone's stomach growl with anticipation.

As she worked, Rohini's mother, a wise and kind woman named Leela, shared stories about their ancestors, the village's history, and the importance of tradition. Rohini listened intently, absorbing the values and customs that had been passed down through generations of Indian women.

Program Components and Older Versions

homer2 program - key executable for HOMER motif discovery (homerCppOnly.*.zip). (This archive actually contains all of the c++ executable, not just homer2).  Unzip in the desired directory and simply type "make" to compile the program.

The configuration script really doesn't deal with older versions, but you can download older versions yourself should you really feel like using inferior data or software!
